In honor of L.A.’s Big Read of “Fahrenheit 451” this spring, Bradbury biographer Sam Weller and L.A. Times critic-at-large David Kipen of Libros Schmibros will host a conversation with special guests exploring Bradbury’s life, work, and thinking about Los Angeles.
Join them at Clifton’s Cafeteria, where Ray discovered the embryonic L.A. Science Fiction Society as a teenager and began to imagine the world — and the city — where we live.
Clifton’s Cafeteria is located at 648 S Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90014.
This event is being produced in partnership with the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs as a part of its 2016 Big Read Program in Los Angeles reading Fahrenheit 451.
Bring a book for L.A.’s daily Nine Minute Read at 4:51 pm, and stay for the conversation at 5:00 pm.
The Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest.
