Westside Top 5 – Outdoor Dining Spots

There’s nothing quite like eating a nice meal while sitting outside and enjoying some fresh air. These places will provide you with delicious meals accompanied with sunlight and maybe even a view.

5. Urth Caffe

Nothing feels quite as fresh or “Los Angeles” in nature as Urth Caffe. Accompany that with the fresh air of their outdoor seating, and you have yourself the perfect match. Urth serves breakfast, if that is your preferred meal, but later on they also offer delicious salads and sandwiches. No matter what time you arrive, you are always welcome to their widespread deserts, which range from neapolitans to cakes to simple chocolate chip cookies. Another shining star at Urth is its drinks. Their coffee is top notch, and they also offer a variety of smoothies, teas, and boba beverages.

4. Nobu

If you enjoy a beautiful ocean view with your meal, Nobu is the place for you. Be warned: prices do fall a bit above normal sushi restaurants, but if you want exceptional Japanese cuisine combined with an exceptional view, this is the place.

3. A.O.C.

For a different kind of feel, you can try A.O.C. Chef Suzanne Goin also operates other Los Angeles restaurants, such as Tavern and Lucques. A.O.C is a wine bar and restaurant. Their outdoor seating is beautiful and open.

•  8700 W. 3rd Street, Los Angeles. 310.859.9859, aocwinebar.com.

2. Coral Tree Cafe

Also very “Los Angeles” in feel, Coral Tree Cafe offers many delicious options.  With a comprehensive breakfast menu that is served even later during the weekends, it makes this restaurant the perfect stop for the start of the day.  One of their signature breakfast items is the “eggs in a hole” – two pieces of bread cooked with two holes in the center where eggs are fried into – very delicious. Its location on San Vicente places it in a hub of exercise facilities as well – a crisp salad while sitting outside might be the perfect culmination to your regular soul cycle class.

1. La Provence

La Provence Patisserie & Cafe also offers a widespread menu for any meal of the day.  It specialized in French cuisine.  Outdoor tables are equipped with pink Himalayan salt that matches the tables upon which they sit. If you are a fan of French food, this place cannot be missed.
