The creative team behind WitzEnd is working to save Westsiders the trip across the 405 by supporting local musical acts and artists and presenting an eclectic summer of song. The building, which in the 1960s hosted the likes of Jim Morrison at its bar, went retail in the 1970s (it was home of Mad Dog Studios then Stanley Recordings) and was then transformed into its original mixed use forum in the oughts, opening as its current incarnation in June 2011.
On June 28th, 2012 Suzanne Coote kicked off her professional performing career at the venue, 1717 Lincoln Blvd at Superba in Venice, accompanied by: her musical director Mark Harris on bass — who also played thee on July 18, 2012 with “Son to the Boy” featuring actor/singer/songwriter James Morrison of TV’s “Revenge” — keyboardist, Alan Okuye, percussionist Rich Mangicaro, Dan Chapman on Harmonica and James Morrison on Vocals and Guitar.
