Brentwood resident and newly-elected Los Angeles Unified School District 4 member Nick Melvoin, toured several Los Angeles school campuses this month as the 2017-2018 school year got underway.
As part of Melvoin’s itinerary, some of the schools he visited were in Brentwood and surrounding areas. He stopped by to visit several of them on Aug. 16.
Melvoin started his day with an announcement to staff and students showcasing diversity, unity and community at Palisades Charter high School, followed by a visit to the innovative farm classroom, science class and the newly-installed field and integrated sports program at Paul Revere Middle School.
From there, he went on to visit lower-grade reading and writing workshops and upper-grade integration of instruction and technology at Kenter Canyon Elementary school. He then finished up the day with a visit to science classes at the Brentwood Science Magnet Elementary School.
