A woman was hospitalized Thursday after being shot at while in her car in South Los Angeles.
The shooting occurred around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday at 103rd Street and Western Avenue and police were notified about 30 minutes later, according to an officer at the Los Angeles Police Department’s 77th Street Station.
The 26-year-old woman was in her vehicle when a passenger from a black sedan that had pulled up alongside her exited and fired several shots at her, police said. There was no immediate explanation of what may have prompted the shooting.
The woman was not struck by the gunfire but she suffered cuts from the shattered glass, police said. She drove herself home before being transported to the hospital for her injuries.
