Wife and husband team launch Coozie Camping to provide Angelinos a simple and sustainable way to access the outdoors with on-demand rental gear to support a shared economy.
Coozie Camping launched in Los Angeles in March of this year with the mission to provide Angelinos access to gear in a way that is less wasteful, more convenient and with the same high standards that come with ownership. “We know that the shared economy is where the outdoor industry needs to go to walk the talk,” explains co-founder, Rachelle Snyder. “We built Coozie Camping on the belief that you shouldn’t have to own gear to experience the outdoors.”
“We ensure high standards so that people have a solid alternative to ownership,” says fellow co-founder, Ross Richmond. “Coozie Camping is the caretaker of the gear – we handle the maintenance, storage, and provide delivery to your door.” The outdoor industry has long been an informal shared economy between friends and colleagues. Yet, there hasn’t been a company that’s promoted a shared economy, supporting the ideas behind limited consumerism to protect the planet, and maintained
a pristine standard of gear.
REI and Adventure 16 only offer a handful of rental options, instead focusing on selling the gear itself. However, Coozie Camping offers complete camping sets and à la carte rentals, ensuring access to the gear that’s needed, without the need for ownership. The company rents everything from coolers to tents, hammocks, and even a portable
charger. For people in Los Angeles who are excited to camp and want a sustainable option, Coozie Camping is the answer. Coozie Camping is currently available in the Greater Los Angeles Area. For more information, visit cooziecamping.com.
