Robbery Suspect Hospitalized After Being Shot In Defense by Dispensary Employee

A robbery suspect was hospitalized Thursday after he was shot and wounded by a marijuana dispensary employee when he walked into the business in the West Adams district and demanded money or marijuana, according to reports from the scene.

The shooting happened just before 11 p.m. in the 4800 block of West Adams Boulevard, said a desk officer at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Southwest Station.

A security guard or clerk shot the suspect in the face and chest, according to reports from the scene. The suspect was taken to a hospital but his condition was not immediately released.


No arrests were reported.
