The California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section (CIF-SS) office announced the volleyball “All-CIF” sections for the 2016 season and senior Clara Gasparetti from The Archer School for Girls (Brentwood) was selected to the Division 7 team.
Gasparetti is one of 13 players selected in Division 7, which is comprised of 61 schools and some 800 players. The 2016 Archer volleyball team compiled a 27-5 overall record, won third place in two tournaments and first place in another in addition to winning the Liberty League Championship. Gasparetti was named “All-Tournament” in each of the tournaments and was awarded the Liberty League Most Valuable Player award.
Gasparetti follows last year’s Archer volleyball standout Christian Luhnow (Archer 2016, now playing at Lafayette College) in being named “All-CIF” and League MVP.
Gasparetti is the 24th Archer athlete to be selected “All-CIF” in all sports, the 5th in volleyball. She is the 16th Archer athlete to win League MVP in all sports, the 3rd in volleyball.
