A man suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and a police officer sustained a gash over the forehead in an officer-involved shooting today at a Walgreens in East Hollywood, police said.
The shooting occurred about 1:15 a.m. at 5451 W. Sunset Blvd., said a watch commander at the LAPD’s Hollywood Station. The suspect and the officer were rushed to an area hospital, she said.
Los Angeles police Sgt. Frank Preciado said the suspect was involved in a fight with two officers prior to the officer-involved shooting. The fight with the officers — a man and a woman — followed an argument the suspect had with a clerk.
