The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today to its lowest amount since March 16, decreasing 1.2 cents to $2.752.
The average price has dropped 28 consecutive days, decreasing 22.6 cents, including six-tenths of a cent on Monday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The declines began immediately after the average price rose to its highest amount since Jan. 14.
The average price is 8.3 cents less than one week ago, 22.2 cents lower than one month ago and $1.269 below what it was one year ago.
The Orange County average price dropped to its lowest amount since March 15, decreasing nine-tenths of a cent to $2.734.
The Orange County average price has dropped 27 consecutive days, decreasing 23 cents, including four-tenths of a cent on Monday. It is 8.3 cents less than one week ago, 23.3 cents lower than one month ago and $1.27 below what it was one year ago.
