
U2’s longtime tour manager died today in his room at the Sunset Marquis Hotel in West Hollywood.
The sheriff’s department would confirm only that a death investigation was being conducted at 1200 Alta Loma Road, which is the address of the hotel.
According to TMZ.com, Dennis Sheehan, who was in his late 60s, was found unconscious in his room. L.A. County Fire Department paramedics were called about 5:30 a.m. to treat a person for a reported cardiac arrest.
Sheehan, who has been the band’s tour manager for more than 30 years, was pronounced dead at the scene, TMZ reported. The death came hours after the end of U2’s first of five concerts at the Forum.
