A one-block pursuit of a two suspects in an allegedly stolen car in Beverly Hills ended with a three-vehicle crash today, landing both suspects in a hospital.
The pursuit began just before 3 p.m. when a stolen gray Hyundai compact was spotted at Wilshire Boulevard and Roxbury Drive, according to Sgt. Max Subin of the Beverly Hills Police Department.
The suspect behind the wheel drove off when police tried to pull the car over, and the driver ran a red light and slammed into two other cars at Charleville Boulevard and Roxbury Drive.
The occupants of the stolen vehicle were conscious and breathing when paramedics arrived, but they were taken to a hospital where they were listed as stable, Subin said.
“We’re very lucky no pedestrians were hit. It’s a busy area with children walking home from school,” he said.
He said although their cars were destroyed, the drivers of the two other vehicles were not hurt.
