A water main break caused street flooding in Hollywood today (May 24), disrupting service to some buildings.
Firefighters responded just before 6 p.m. to a call of flooding in the 400 block of North Curson Avenue, said Katherine Main of the Los Angeles Fire Dept. (LAFD).
The break was in an 8-inch cast iron main, said Gale Harris of the Los Angeles Dept. of Water and Power (DWP).
She didn’t know how many customers were affected but said service to 40 buildings was disrupted.
Crews were at the scene late Saturday working to restore service and make repairs, Harris said.
