There were no reports of damage from a magnitude-3.3 earthquake whose epicenter was in Cudahy and was felt in portions of Los Angeles.
The temblor struck just before 11:40 p.m. on May 7 at a depth of about 10 miles, according to the United States Geological Survey.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Dept. East Los Angeles Station, which includes Cudahy in its patrol area, had received no damage reports, according to Sgt. Richard Bojorquez.
Deputies from the station were checking critical facilities, 30 minutes after the quake hit, Bojorquez said.
A dispatcher for the nearby South Gate Police Dept. said she had received no indications of damage or injuries.
A Los Angeles Fire Dept. spokesman said no reports of significant damage had been received.
