A Powerball ticket worth more than $1.2 million was sold in Los Angeles, according to California Lottery officials.
The ticket matched five numbers drawn Saturday, but not the mega number.
It was sold at Discount Cigarettes at 1804-7 South La Cienega Boulevard, which will share $6,246.75 or one half of one percent of the winning amount.
The numbers drawn May 17 were 23, 32, 39, 47, 49 and the Powerball number was 22. The estimated jackpot was about $100 million.
Since there was no jackpot winner, the May 21 Powerball jackpot will be $114 million, Lottery officials said.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Powerball number is 1 in 175,223,510, according to the Powerball website. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 31.85.
The Powerball game is played in 43 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
