Century City has a new home entertainment store catering to upscale audio-visual aficionados, as Video and Audio Center opened April 11 as the Westfield mall.
The soft opening christens Video and Audio Center’s fourth location, following in the footsteps of its showrooms and stores in Agoura Hills, Lawndale, and Santa Monica.
According to Twice.com, the Century City store is about 10,000 square feet in size. An official grand opening has not yet been scheduled, according to news reports.
Video and Audio Center’s principals are Joseph and Mayer Akhtarzad. The company, which specializes in home entertainment sales and consumer electronics, has been in business for about 33 years. The store claims to have the “nation’s largest” selection of Sony products. Ironically, a Sony Store, which was located in the vicinity of Video and Audio Center, recently shut down.
In addition to its retail superstores, Video and Audio Center also operates a custom home theater showroom.
The store is open daily, including 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Westfield Century City is located at 10250 Santa Monica Boulevard.
