Multinational corporation Regus hosted a ribbon-cutting and a “broker open house” on the evening of Dec. 11 for the relocation of its fourth Century City location in the Century Plaza Towers. As a company that provides clean, well-kept, and contemporary workspaces – from standard offices to executive suits to conference rooms – Regus serves a broad range of individuals all over the world throughout its 2,000 plus locations.
To befit its top-tier office spaces, Regus offered a couple of complimentary services at its ribbon-cutting event as well, including Scotch tastings by Macallan and Highland Park; shoe shines, shaves, and haircuts from the Barbershop Club; and food and beverage catered by Mendocino Farms. The crowd of several dozen people toured the expansive office space and took advantage of the services in a casual, friendly atmosphere complete with upbeat background music.
The Century City location boasts fully furnished executive suites as a part of 91 total available offices. Brandell Davis, regional coaching general manager, spoke about the amenities and resources that Regus offers its clients.
“We provide business memberships for mobile workers,” Davis said. “[Mobile workers] are usually those with long commutes who need office space.”
Davis said clients had many advantages when it came to Regus’ spaces and suites, as the offices are not only available for those in the corporate world but also for authors, writers, and students as well.
“We’ve had all sorts of different clients,” Davis said. “A cool experience we’ve had was being able to support Apple’s marketing team. We’ve had some representatives from Amazon use one of our offices. We also get a lot of students who are studying for exams like the LSATs.”
Davis also noted some of the rewarding aspects of working at Regus.
“We’ve had the opportunity to help up-and-coming lawyers as they build their practices,” Davis said. “That’s one of the cool parts about working with all kinds of people who need office space.”
Davis has her roots in Century City, as she was formerly employed at the InterContinental and was recruited when Regus started seeking individuals working in hospitality.
“This job requires similar skills as the hospitality field,” Davis said, explaining that the comfort and satisfaction of the client is the main goal in both instances.
Regus was previously located on the 14th floor of the Century Plaza Towers and is now situated on the fourth floor in Suite 400.
The Century Plaza Towers are at 2029 Century Park East in Century City. For more information, call 310.772.2200 or visit regis.com.
