Dick Van Dyke Harmonizes with Lawyers and Judges

Dick Van Dyke with Conductor Gary Greene

The legendary entertainer will perform with the LA Lawyers Philharmonic and Legal Voices on June 11 at UCLA’s Royce Hall in Westwood.

Legendary entertainer Dick Van Dyke will take the stage to sing and dance with a group of very talented lawyers and judges, while raising funds for those who cannot afford legal services.

Founder- Conductor Gary S. Greene, Esq. will lead the Los Angeles Lawyers Philharmonic and its chorus, Legal Voices, dubbed “LA’s Only Legal Orchestra and Chorus,” in their 8th Annual Concert Extraordinaire on Sun. June 11 at 4 p.m. at UCLA Royce Hall. KFI radio host Bill Handel will MC.

Tchaikovsky and the “Best of Broadway” musicals with Dick Van Dyke will highlight the exciting Concert Extraordinaire. Van Dyke will perform songs from “Bye Bye Birdie,” “Mary Poppins” and more.

The dynamic finale from Tchaikovsky’s 4th Symphony, under the baton of Maestro Greene, will include show-stopping Broadway songs from “The Phantom of the Opera,” “Les Misérables,” “A Little Night Music” and “Chicago”

One of America’s finest trial attorneys, Thomas V. Girardi, Esq., will be honored with the June Lockhart Humanitarian Award, dubbed the “Junie.” The award has become an annual presentation by the LA Lawyers Philharmonic to an individual who has made significant contributions for the betterment of our world. It is named after June Lockhart, who is a Tony Award-winning actress, and a close friend of the orchestra. She is best known for her portrayal of Timmy’s mom in “Lassie” and Dr. Maureen Robinson in “Lost in Space.” She and her family have five stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

A Celebratory Reception and Dinner on the West Terrace will follow the concert, with entertainment provided by Gary Greene, Esq. & His Big Band of Barristers. Dinner will be catered by Angelini Osteria.

Concert tickets range from $20 to $100. Dinner tickets are $250 each. Fifty percent of the concert and dinner ticket price is a donation to the LA Lawyers Philharmonic, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. (A portion of the net concert ticket proceeds will benefit the LA County Bar Association Counsel for Justice and the Beverly Hills Bar Association Foundation to help those who cannot afford legal services.)
