A run of eight decreases in nine days that dropped the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County to its lowest amount since Aug. 26 ended Friday with an increase of one- tenth of a cent.
The average price of $2.708 is 1.7 cents less than one week ago, 11.3 cents lower than one month ago and 4 cents below what it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price dropped 2.4 cents over the previous nine days, including two-tenths of a cent on Thursday.
A nine-day streak of decreases to the Orange County average price ended with a half-cent increase to $2.702. It is 1.4 cents less than one week ago, 10.8 cents lower than one month ago and 2.5 cents below what it was one year ago.
The Orange County average price dropped 3 cents over the previous nine days, including two-tenths of a cent on Thursday.
