The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today for the 23rd consecutive day, decreasing 1.3 cents to $2.811.
The average price has dropped 16.7 cents over the past 23 days, including 1.1 cents on Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The declines began immediately after the average price rose to its highest amount since Jan. 14.
The average price is 6.8 cents less than one week ago, 15.8 cents lower than one month ago and $1.339 below what it was one year ago.
The streak of dropping prices is the longest since a 24-day run from Feb. 2-25.
The Orange County average price dropped for the 22nd consecutive day today, decreasing 1 cent to $2.794. The streak of dropping prices is the longest since a 25-day streak from Feb. 1-25.
The Orange County average price has dropped 17 cents over the past 22 days, including 1.3 cents on Wednesday. It is 6.7 cents less than one week ago, 16.5 cents lower than one month ago and $1.335 below what it was one year ago.
