LOS ANGELES (CNS) – A man was killed this morning when a garbage truck struck an unknown object in the Rosewood area of unincorporated Los Angeles County, authorities said.
The accident was reported at 5:40 a.m. at Broadway and Compton Boulevard, said California Highway Patrol Officer Stephan Brandt.
A male in his 50s was pronounced dead at the scene, said Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winters.
The CHP was investigating at the scene and further details were pending, Brandt said.
