The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today to its lowest amount since Feb. 19, decreasing eight-tenths of a cent to $2.928.
The average price has dropped 55 of the past 57 days, decreasing 62.4 cents, including a half-cent on Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The only times the average price did not drop in the past 57 days were Oct. 8, when it rose one-tenth of a cent, and Oct. 11, when it remained unchanged.
The average price is 3.7 cents less than a week ago, 18.8 cents lower than one month ago and 46.5 cents below what it was a year ago
The Orange County average price dropped today to its lowest amount since Feb. 18, decreasing four-tenths of a cent to $2.884.
The Orange County average price has dropped 54 of the past 56 days, decreasing 60.9 cents, including six-tenths of a cent on Wednesday.
The only times the Orange County average price did not drop over the past 56 days were Oct. 8, when it rose 1.1 cents, and Oct. 9, when it was unchanged.
The Orange County average price is 3.1 cents less than one week ago, 16.8 cents lower than one month ago and 48.2 cents below what it was one year ago.
