Today at Dodger’s home game: 18th annual Hispanic Heritage celebration

The Los Angeles Dodgers will conduct their 18th annual Hispanic Heritage celebration, La Gran Fiesta Viva Los Dodgers today, with present and past players and broadcasters signing autographs, posing for pictures, being interviewed and musical performances.

La Gran Fiesta Viva Los Dodgers will be held from 2-6 p.m. at Dodger Stadium’s 76 station. World Boxing Council middleweight champion Miguel Cotto will also be among the participants, being interviewed on stage.

Cotto will also throw the ceremonial first pitch to Dodger outfielder Kike Hernandez. Mariachi Sol de Mexico de Jose Hernandez will perform on the field at 5:35 p.m. and the national anthem.

Here is the schedule of La Gran Fiesta Viva Los Dodgers activities, with all appearances subject to change, timing for player appearances is approximate and fans encouraged to arrive early:

2-3 p.m. — Autograph signing by Dodger catcher Yasmani Grandal, pitcher Joel Peralta and infielder Ronald Torreyes;

2-2:30 p.m. — Hernandez will pose for photographs;

2-2:15 p.m. — Dodger first baseman Adrian Gonzalez will be interviewed on stage;

2:15-2:30 p.m. — Dodger broadcasters Jaime Jarrin and Jorge Jarrin will be interviewed on stage;

2:35-3:05 p.m. — Sonsoles performs;

2:45-3:15 p.m. — Autograph signing by Al Ferrara, an outfielder with the Dodgers in 1963 and 1965-68, and Dodger broadcasters Rick Monday and Manny Mota;

2:45 p.m.-3:15 p.m. — Jaime Jarrin and Jorge Jarrin will pose for photographs;

3:20-3:50 p.m. — Sinverguenza performs;

3:30-4 p.m. — Autograph signing by Ron Cey, a Dodger third baseman from 1971-82; Ferrara, Mota and Dodger scout Mike Brito;

3:30-4 p.m. — Dodger broadcasters Fernando Valenzuela and Pepe Yniguez will pose for photographs;

4:05-4:10 p.m. — Valenzuela and Yniguez will be interviewed on stage;

4:08-4:28 p.m. — Mariachi Sol de Mexico de Jose Hernandez performs;

4:15-4:45 p.m. — Autograph signing by Dodger pitchers Luis Avilan and Carlos Frias and outfielder Alex Guerrero;

4:15-4:45 p.m. — Dodger pitchers Pedro Baez, Yimi Garcia and Juan Nicasio will pose for photographs;

4:35-4:40 p.m. — Cotto will be interviewed on stage;

4:45-5:15 p.m. — Los 5 performs;

5:45 p.m. — DJ Adam provides entertainment.

All auto gates will open at 1:30 p.m. The game is set to begin at 6:10 p.m.
