Chet Hanks, the eldest son of actors Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, says he has had a serious cocaine problem.
“I know, like, my name’s been in the media about me like going missing or getting kidnapped or something. I just want to let you all know, I’ve been in rehab … and I’m doing pretty damn good,” the 25-year-old said earlier this week in one of a series videos that show him grateful and pointing others toward God and treatment, the Los Angeles Times reported.
“A couple months ago I was selling coke, doing coke until I couldn’t even snort it up my nose anymore because it was so clogged,” he said in another video. “I even smoked crack. If I can change, you can change. There is a solution.”
Chet Hanks said he has traveled a long journey “discovering who I am because of all the pressures that I’ve dealt with in my life, you know, being the son of my dad and everything, and just trying to find where I fit in.”
