The 31st Annual Jet to Jetty 5K/10K Run/Walk benefiting Airport Marina Counseling Service (AMCS) is set for Sat., August 29 at Dockweiler State Beach. The Drollinger Family Charitable Foundation (DFCF) is the title sponsor of this year’s race, with the official race name is the Drollinger Family Charitable Foundation Jet to Jetty. The William H. Hannon Foundation has generously donated an 8 day-7 night Pleasant Holidays vacation for 2 to Maui for a special prize drawing.

The race entry fee for both the 5K and 10K is $35 and includes parking at Dockweiler. The Kid’s Fun Run fee is $15. Early registration and packet pickup will be held at two different locations this year for everyone’s convenience: August 22nd from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Village Runner, located at 1840 North Sepulveda Blvd in Manhattan Beach; and, Dick’s Sporting Goods in Plaza El Segundo, on Friday, August 28th from 4p.m. to 8 p.m.. Dick’s address is 770 South Sepulveda Blvd. Late registration and packet pickup begins at 6:30am on race morning. The late registration fee is $45.

The 5K Run/Walk and Team Competition begin at 8 am. and the 10K follows at 8:30 am. Teams are welcome and must have a minimum of five participants. The Kid’s Fun Run begins at 9:30 am. For those adventurous runners, there will be a Costume Contest – so be creative and win a prize. There will also be a Virtual Runner category that will allow supporters who value sleeping in on Saturday morning to support the race and still be the recipients of an official race T-Shirt.

All race participants receive a free event T-Shirt and free after-race refreshments. Games and activities will be provided for kids of all ages. There will be an after-race Expo with a variety of vendors offering free samples and services. For those who love a good get-away, prize drawing tickets for the Pleasant Holidays trip to Maui will also be available. The winner of the trip will be announced after the race and need not be present to win.

And, this year, the fun will continue at Tompkin’s Square (T-2). Join the after-race party for breakfast and a celebratory mimosa. T-2 will donate 15% of sales to AMCS from 9:30 am. to 1:30 pm.. Be one of the first 25 people to identify yourself as a Jet to Jetty supporter and enjoy a mimosa on the house!
