Brentwood Briefs: Latest library happenings, help save the coral trees, SBRA annual meeting

A Spring Book Sale is being held through April 25 in the Friends Bookstore at the Kaufman Brentwood Branch Library, 11820 San Vicente Boulevard.

Among the sale is buy one, get one free. The bookstore is open daily. Call the library at 310.575.8273 for specific hours.

Meanwhile, Master magician Tony Daniels will perform his 45-minute “Magic Show” for children at the library branch on Wednesday, April 29, at 4:30 pm. Admission is free.

Help Save The Coral Trees

The Coral Tree Endowment Campaign is in full swing. The goal is to raise $25,000 for the tree trimming needed in late spring. Douglas Emmett has offered a $10,000 matching fund. To make a contribution, go to: www.brentwoodcommunitycouncil.org and press “donate” on the homepage.

SBRA Annual Meeting April 23

The South Brentwood Residents Association hosts its 39th annual meeting Thursday, April 23.

A meet and greet will be held from 6:30-7 pm; the meeting will take place from 7-8:30 pm.

It will be held at 1133 South Bundy Drive, Tenth Church of Christ, Scientist.

Guest speakers include Councilman Mike Bonin, Felicia Park-Rogers (Sr. Field Deputy for Supervisor Sheila Kuehl), Joe Castro (LAFD West Bureau Deputy Chief), Maria Gray (LAPD Sr. Lead Officer), and Lauren Cole (BCC & SBRA Transportation Chair).

The meeting is free and open to the public.
