The Los Angeles Lakers will wear uniforms displaying the team name as spoken by the Latino population, “Los Lakers,” for tonight’s game against the Dallas Mavericks at Staples Center.
The Spanish-language uniforms are among the elements of the NBA’s ninth annual Latin nights program, “Noches Enebea” celebrating the growing support of NBA fans and players across Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic communities.
The “Los Lakers” jerseys are available for purchase at Staples Center and online at NBAStore.com.
In addition to the Lakers, the other seven participating teams, and their team name as spoken by the Latin population are Chicago (“Los Bulls”); Miami (“El Heat”); Houston (“Los Rockets”); New York (“Nueva York”); Phoenix (“Los Suns”); San Antonio (“Los Spurs”); and Washington (“Los Wizards”).
