A Delta passenger suspected of being drunk was arrested this morning after she assaulted airline flight personnel and then a police officer at LAX, Los Angeles Airport Police reported.
Los Angeles Airport Police officers and FBI personnel responded to Terminal 6 about 8:10 p.m. Wednesday to investigate the alleged belligerent behavior of 32-year-old Lisa Piasecki of Irwin, North Carolina, police said.
Piasecki had been placed under citizen’s arrest by three Delta flight crew members for an alleged battery, according to L.A. Airport Police, who declined to provide details of the alleged battery on the Delta flight or where that flight originated.
During the law enforcement investigation at Los Angeles International Airport, Piasecki was allegedly drunk, uncooperative and combative, “kicking and screaming,” according to Airport Police.
Piasecki also allegedly committed a battery on a police officer. She was subsequently arrested shortly after 2 a.m. today and booked at LAPD’s 77th Street Division on suspicion of battery on a police officer and of public drunkenness, according to Los Angeles Airport Police.
No details were released regarding the alleged battery on the officer.
Piasecki was being held this morning in lieu of $21,767 bail, according to jail records. No court date was listed for her arraignment.
