Classes at Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach were canceled today because of an online posting regarded as an unspecified threat of violence.
The threat posted on the social media site Yik Yak prompted Principal Ben Dale and the Manhattan Beach Police Department to jointly agree to the closure.
It said, “If you go to Costa you should watch out very closely at school today,” the Daily Breeze reported.
The threat is being investigated, a Manhattan Beach Police Department dispatcher said.
An earlier threat on the site caused the school to be locked down for an hour Monday.
