A long period southwest swell will continue through the weekend.
This swell is expected to produce surf of 3 to 6 feet on the beaches of Los Angeles and Ventura counties with the highest surf on exposed south and southwest facing beaches.
The surf and long period swell will result in dangerous rip currents and long shore currents making conditions hazardous for inexperienced swimmers and surfers.
Surf will begin to subside late in the Weekend.
