Actress Leah Remini and singer Jennifer Lopez were not hurt when their car was rear-ended by a pickup truck piloted by a suspected drunken driver in Malibu Saturday night.
Lopez’s two children were also in the vehicle, and were also not hurt, she said on her Instagram account.
“Sitting at a light, sitting high right before some drunk fool rear ended us in my new whip,” she said. “Thank god everyone OK.”
The fender bender occurred just before 8 p.m. Saturday in the 22700 block of Pacific Coast Highway where Remini was stopped at a traffic signal, said Sgt. Phillip Brooks at the sheriff’s Malibu/Lost Hills station. That location is a signalized pedestrian crossing next to the Nobu and McDonald’s restaurants.
The pickup truck driver drove off on PCH, but was located nearby and arrested, Brooks said.
The sheriff’s sergeant did not have the name of the jailed motorist.
Lopez wrote that Remini was driving.
