The Board of Supervisors approved ticket price increases on Tuesday for the 2015 Hollywood Bowl season to cover increasing production costs.
Labor, marketing, artists’ fees and other production costs have gone up, necessitating higher prices, according to the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, which operates the iconic amphitheater. The association also dropped some prices and held others to keep pricing competitive.
Prices will increase from $1-$5 per ticket, depending on the seat location, amounting to roughly a 3 percent hike overall. Special event pricing will go up nearly 5 percent.
The association offers $1 tickets for the 380 top benches during classical and jazz performances on Tuesday through Thursday nights.
The most expensive seats, in the circle nearest the stage, will carry a price tag of $182 for Saturday night performances.
Fees will rise $1-$2 for general parking and the $50 maximum charged for valet parking will increase to $55.
