“Lucy” was in second place in its second week of showings, with an estimated $18.3 million gate this weekend.
“Get On Up” debuted in third place, with a $14 million take.
Rounding out the top 10 films this weekend in the U.S. and Canada, as estimated by the studios and collated by Rentrak, were “Hercules” ($10.7 million), “Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes” ($8.7 million), “Planes: Fire & Rescue” ($6.4 million), “The Purge: Anarchy” ($5.6 million), “Sex Tape” ($3.6 million), “And So It Goes” ($3.3 million) and “A Most Wanted Man” ($3.3 million).
