This weekend, congressional candidate Matt Miller announced he is hosting two “Neighborhood Chats” on the Westside.
The “Neighborhood Chats with Matt” are set for Friday, May 23 at 7 p.m. in Beverly Hills and Saturday, May 24, at 4:30 p.m. in Pacific Palisades.
To RSVP and find out details of the location, reach out to Miller’s campaign at rsvp@mattmillerforcongress.com.
Miller is a candidate for the congested race for Henry Waxman’s congressional seat. Almost 20 candidates are seeking to succeed Waxman and represent the 33rd District, which includes the Westside, in Washington, D.C.
Other candidates vying for Waxman’s seat include Tom Fox, Ted Lieu, Lily Gilani, Mark Herd, Michael Sachs, Vince Flaherty, Zein Obangi, Kevin Mottus, David Kanuth, Wendy Greuel, Elan Carr, Matt Miller, Barbara Mulvany, Kristie Holmes, Marianne Williamson, and write-in candidate Theo Milonopolous.
A primary election for the 33rd Congressional District seat is set for June 3. The top two vote getters will face off against each other in the Nov. 4 general election.
Waxman announced earlier this year he is retiring from Congress after representing portions of Los Angeles in Washington, D.C, for 40 years.
