A man was killed in an apparent gang-related shooting in the parking lot of a liquor store in the Mid-City area of Los Angeles, police said on May 16.
The man, about 25 years old, died at the scene of the shooting, which occurred about 11 p.m. Wednesday in the 5900 block of Pico Boulevard, said Officer Bruce Borihanh of the Los Angeles Police Dept.’s (LAPD) Media Relations office.
Authorities withheld his name, pending notification of his relatives.
The victim was in the parking lot when he was approached by three or four other men and was shot, Borihanh said. No descriptions were released of the suspects, who fled in a white four-door car.
