An independent grocery store custom-made for Malibu and the City’s closest neighbors will be hosting a grand opening celebration on March 5, complete with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, special events within the market, and gift bags. Located in the Trancas Country Mart near Zuma Beach, Vintage Grocers positions itself as a purveyor of fresh foods, fine wine, and gourmet items.
The March 5 grand opening celebration will kick off at 9 a.m. Gift bags will be given to the firs 250 customers.
During opening day, a Malibu Gift Basket inclusive of the store’s local products will be given to a randomly selected customer every hour.
Live demonstrations will also be offered throughout the day at the Vintage Grocers’ opening.
Vintage Grocers markets itself as a homegrown, hometown market catering to Malibu and surrounding communities, with an emphasis on “exceptional food and customer service.” The market features organic, all-natural, international, Kosher, GMO-free and gluten-free food and products, as well as environmentally friendly packaging.
“Vintage Grocers is the realization of my dream to create a one-of-a-kind grocery store for a one-of-a-kind community,” Vintage Market Eric Fuchser stated. “We will stock only the freshest produce and seafood, the finest wines and gourmet items and the very best meat, poultry and pork selections.”
Also, the store’s “front porch dining room” offers hot brick-oven pizza, freshly prepared sushi, soups, deli selections, a garden-fresh salad bar, a fresh-squeezed juice bar, a hot food bar, and gourmet sandwiches, among other items.
Vintage Grocers will also be the only grocery store where shoppers can get scoops of Beachy Cream ice cream, which was created in Malibu.
Open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week, Vintage Grocers is at 30745 Pacific Coast Highway, Suite 24, in Malibu (located in the Trancas Country Market across from Zuma Beach).
