A male motorcyclist was killed at the intersection Santa Monica Boulevard and Barrington in West Los Angeles just before 6 pm Thursday.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Division is investigating the fatal accident where the motorcyclist crashed with another vehicle.
According to reports, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead after being taken to a nearby hospital.
CBS News reports that speed as well as a road slick from drizzle is believed to have been a factor in the accident.
Westbound Santa Monica Boulevard (at Federal) and northbound Barrington Avenue (at Idaho) were closed for several hours during the investigation, CBS reported.
