Eye on Brentwood

Patriot Star Lands in Brentwood
Boston Patriot’s star football quarterback, Tom Brady, and his model wife, Gisele Bundchen, are building a 20,000 square foot mansion on a 3.75 acre plot in Brentwood. Besides countless bedrooms and baths and a six-car garage, there’s a nursery for 16 month old Benjamin.

Rosendahl Calls Stadium Promoter’s Bluff
Brentwood city Councilman Bill Rosendahl is the unfazed leader of a minority of city politicians willing to question the AEG sports and entertainment company about their claims that they will build a new 72,000 seat football stadium between Staples Center and the LA Convention Center at no cost to the city. Since Rosendahl started asking questions, it turns out that AEG was planning all along to talk the city into contributing some vacant land worth millions of dollars when developed. AEG is now claiming that the final plan will nearly double the size of the Convention Center, allowing the city to attract some two dozen major conventions which currently need more space than is now available.

Simpson Prosecutor Writes Fiction
Prosecutor, Marcia Clark was in shock when O.J. Simpson, the former USC football and television star, was found not guilty of killing his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend, Ronald Goldman, near O.J.’s Brentwood home in 1994. In 1998 she wrote her book about the case entitled, “Without a Doubt†. Thirteen years later, she’s out with a fictional murder mystery entitled “Guilt by Association†under a two book contract with publisher Little Brown. The second book may be entitled “Guilt By Degrees†.

Brentwood Exec Draws Record Compensation
Leslie Moonves of Brentwood, Chief of CBS Broadcasting, has again drawn the highest compensation package in corporate America at $57.7 million. His annual salary is “only†$3.5 million, but the balance comes from a bonus, stock and option awards, a pension fund and tax reimbursements.

Realtor Skips Down the Yellow Brick Road
Hugh Evans of Partners Trust in Brentwood went tripping down the Yellow Brick Road to sell Judy Garland’s childhood Bel Air home for $5.2 million. He had listed the 5,500 square foot mansion for $5.5 million just two weeks before he sold it.
