The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped one-tenth of a cent today to $2.782, the fourth slight decrease in five days.
The average price dropped three-tenths of a cent on both Friday and Saturday and one-tenth of a cent on Monday and rose one-tenth of a cent on Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is unchanged from one week ago, 10.8 cents higher than one month ago and 43.6 cents less than one year ago.
The Orange County average price was unchanged today, remaining at $2.761 after dropping five consecutive days, including one-tenth of a cent on Monday. It is six-tenths of cent less than one week ago and 38.2 cents lower than one year ago but 10.4 cents more than one month ago.
