The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County today recorded its third slight decrease in four days, dropping one-tenth of a cent to $2.783.
The average price dropped three-tenths of a cent on both Friday and Saturday and rose one-tenth of a cent on Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is seven-tenths of a cent more than one week ago and 12.3 cents higher than one month ago but 45 cents less than one year ago.
The Orange County average price dropped one-tenth of a cent today to $2.761, the fifth consecutive decrease following a seven-day streak of increases totaling 6.5 cents.
The Orange County average price is one-tenth of a cent more than one week ago and 11.9 cents higher than one month ago but 39.7 cents less than one week ago.
