The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today to its lowest amount since March 11, decreasing eight-tenths of a cent to $2.68.
The average price has dropped 35 consecutive days, decreasing 29 cents, including two-tenths of a cent on Monday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The declines began immediately after the average price rose to its highest amount since Jan. 14.
The average price is 7.2 cents less than one week ago, 27.2 cents lower than one month ago and $1.139 below what it was one year ago.
The Orange County average price also dropped to its lowest amount since March 11 today, decreasing eight-tenths of a cent to $2.656.
The Orange County average price has dropped 34 consecutive days, decreasing 30.8 cents, including two-tenths of a cent on Monday. It is 7.8 cents less than one week ago, 28.5 cents lower than one month ago and $1.13 below what it was one year ago.
