LOS ANGELES (CNS) – The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today for the seventh consecutive day, decreasing eight-tenths of a cent to $2.935.
The average price is 4.3 cents less than a week ago and 99.2 cents lower than one year ago but 3.8 cents more than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The declines began immediately after the average price rose to its highest amount since Jan. 14.
The Orange County average price dropped for the sixth consecutive day today, decreasing nine-tenths of a cent to $2.924. It is 4 cents less than one week ago and 95.5 cents lower than one year ago but 5.2 cents higher than one month ago.
