Note:

As you can see, we’ve recently experienced an unusual number of wallet thefts while victims are shopping and inattentive to their purses. It is a very common form of theft and one that often occurs in waves — as we are experiencing now. It can involve a suspect simply taking advantage of an opportunity of an open purse or it can occur as a distraction ruse in which one suspect will divert the attention of the shopper momentarily so that the other suspect has an opportunity to steal the purse/wallet.

At the Brentwood Ralph’s supermarket, I have conducted undercover sting operations leaving my ‘prop’ (a purse/wallet in my shopping cart) while nearby, my partners pose as shoppers ready to nab the bad guy (or gal) if it gets stolen. More often than not however, it is kind and concerned fellow shoppers who point out that I should be more careful with my wallet and purse. It always restores my faith in the goodness of others when folks take the time to look out for one another. Please continue to do so and don’t be surprised if you see me loitering too long in the produce section.

Lastly, a big thank you goes out to Dan Weinberg who kept me company recently at the Brentwood Grand Prix event. He introduced me to a newly patented automatic garage door lock system that provides automatic bolt lock security to your garage door while being affordable and user friendly. It can also be sync’d with your current garage door opener. Check out the link below.
