Art Directors Guild to present its annual Excellence in Production Design Awards in Beverly Hills

“Birdman,” “Inherent Vice” and “Guardians of the Galaxy” were among the films nominated today for production design honors by the Art Directors Guild, while “Mad Men,” “Gotham” and “Game of Thrones” were among the television nominees.

The guild will present its 19th annual Excellence in Production Design Awards on Jan. 31 at the Beverly Hilton. Comedian Owen Benjamin will host the ceremony.

During the event, Christopher Nolan will receive the guild’s Cinematic Imagery Award, while lifetime achievement awards will be presented to production designer Jim Bissell, senior illustrator Camille Abbott, senior set designer John P. Bruce and scenic artist Will Ferrell. Inducted into the guild’s Hall of Fame will be John Gabriel Beckman, Charles Lisanby and Walter Tyler.
