Teddy bears of all sizes and colors will be delivered to patients in the pediatric unit at the L.A. County/USC Medical Center by school police officers this morning.
Officers will escort Santa Claus along the Marengo Street entrance to the hospital in Lincoln Heights, with police cars emergency lights on and sirens blaring.
Children will greet officers out front, or if too restricted, view St. Nick’s arrival from the eighth floor.
The event is organized by the East Division of the L.A. Unified School District Police Department.
They will set up at 9:45 a.m. today at the corner of Marengo and Soto streets, and meet the kids at 10 a.m.
