A 37-year-old man suffering from pneumonia and liver and kidney disease walked away from a West Hills hospital without shoes Saturday and was being sought by police.
Michael Nelson was last seen at 8:30 a.m. from West Hills Hospital and Medical Center, 7300 Medical Center Drive, according to a news statement from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Topanga station.
Nelson was described as a 6-foot, 4-inch tall white male weighing about 190 pounds, with brown eyes, brown-grayish hair and a mustache. He was last seen wearing a blue and red “Red Sox” shirt, black sweat pants, blue socks and no shoes.
Police asked anyone with information to call the LAPD’s Topanga station at (818) 756-4800. The incoming phone lines there were out earlier yesterdayday, but have been repaired, police said.
