Alec Martinez, who scored the goal that gave the Los Angeles Kings their second Stanley Cup in three seasons, are scheduled to be joined by teammates Tyler Toffoli, Tanner Pearson and Martin Jones in throwing the ceremonial first pitch before tonight’s Los Angeles Dodgers game.
Team mascot Bailey and the Ice Crew will also be present for Los Angeles Kings Night, for which the Dodgers offered a ticket package with a commemorative T-shirt and a seat in the all-you-can-eat pavilion.
Throughout the three-game series against the San Diego Padres, a special extreme loaded hot dog, the Surf and Turf Dog, an all-beef hot dog with bay shrimp salad, shredded green cabbage and Kewpie mayonnaise slaw, will be available at extreme loaded dog concession stands on Dodger Stadium’s field, loge and reserve levels.
U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Jeremy Redfern will be honored as the Veteran of the Game. He joined the Air Force in 2008 and is an explosive ordnance disposal instructor at Elgin Air Force Base in Florida.
Redfern served two deployments in Afghanistan. His accolades include the Air Force Commendation Medal with Valor and two Oak Leaf Clusters and the Air Force Combat Action Medal.
Matt Luke, an outfielder-first baseman with the Dodgers in 1998, will sign autographs in the right field pavilion plaza from 5-7 p.m., the same time Lee Lacy, a Dodger second baseman-outfielder from 1972-78, will be signing autographs in the left field pavilion plaza.
All auto gates will open at 4:30 p.m. and all stadium gates at 5 p.m. for the 7:10 p.m. game.
