Sandra Fluke, a candidate for California State Senate, announced on April 2 the endorsement of Jennifer Seibel Newsom and several women leaders from the California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls and the Los Angeles Commission on the Status of Women. Fluke has previously been endorsed by a broad range of women leaders from California and across the country.
“I am proud to stand with Sandra Fluke in her bid for California State Senate. Sandra is a strong, hardworking, and dedicated individual with an impressive passion for public service. She is a strong role model and is the right choice to fight for equality and progress in Sacramento,” Jennifer Seibel Newsom stated.
Fluke also received the endorsement of several women from California’s most prominent commissions on women’s issues, including Rebecca Blanton, Farrah Parker, Araceli Campos, and Susan Rose.
A candidate for the 26th State Senate district, Fluke is running against Ben Allen, Betsy Butler, and Amy Howorth to replace Ted Lieu in representing portions of the Westside and South Bay in Sacramento.
