The Brentwood Coral Trees on the San Vicente median require yearly trimming which used to be done by the City. With cuts to the budget, it will be done rarely by the City…maybe every 17 years. Therefore, an endowment is building to provide yearly cuts. The investments will help throw off needed funds so that the money does not have to be raised yearly.
It is opportune to have businesses help raise some of this endowment money. Coral Tree Cafe has had special offers and now Whole Foods is giving 5% of a day’s take toward the trees. When everyone pitches in, the trees will be given proper care.
