A car carrying two people veered off a road in Malibu, caught fire and burned a small amount of brush before it was extinguished Sunday.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department was dispatched after the 2:55 p.m. incident on Decker Canyon Road above Pacific Coast Highway, fire department Dispatch Supervisor Art Marrujo said. That is right across PCH from Fire Station 99.
The car caught fire after the crash and burned a small amount of brush nearby the crash scene, Marrujo said. No one was injured in the crash.
The fire department sent two water dropping helicopters and fire trucks to the crash scene. The fire was extinguished about 3:10 p.m, Marrujo continued.
